BIG BOYS ICA 2005

In the early 60′s one might remember the line from the Beach Boy’s song: “I loaded up my woodie with my boards on top” from ‘Let’s Go Surfin’. It’s been many decades since a real woodie came off the production line. And Big Boy’s ICA brought more than the traditional “woodies” to Big Surf. Duffy’s showed off their “woodie” for the cover picture but car enthusiasts were used to seeing these cars. How many times does one have a chance to see a 5000 pound vehicle with twin = Cadillac power plants made out of wood? That’s right. The body, doors, steering wheel and right down to the pedals are all wood! The wax of = choice for this bad boy is none other than Pledge furniture polish. This vehicle has been overseas and throughout the United States. Cars made from wood make it easy to tell the age of the vehicle, just count the rings on the bumper. There is no need to look for rust before you buy one of these but you may want to get a termite inspection. =20
