Competitors are expected to race over 13 courses as fast as they can with no penalties for backing, winching, or strapping. Score is the fastest time wins and with this in mind teams catch large amounts of air and do extreme carnage to their rigs. The courses were actually pretty dry and very technical. Full story

Their was fierce battles in all the classes for the top 3 spots with a tie for 3rd in the modstock class with a tie breaker shootout at the end of the day. Ray Mandel and Andrea Mecham were first up. Mandel took the lead then lost his gas cap while taking on the first hill. His spotter quickly ran to get another cap while Andrea struggled off to the side with some difficult rocks. The spotter returned to the scene, jumped in the rig finishing with a 1:51.
