Chris Rini is the 2010 NMCA Pro Street World Champion!

ATI sponsored Chris Rini wins the 2010 NMCA World Championship in the ProStreet class! Coming off a win in the final event of 2009, Chris came out early with another win at the opening event in Bradenton for the NMCA using his tired 2009 motor, to show everyone he was going to be the man to beat in Pro Street for 2010. At the following race in Reading, PA, Rini had his new 825ci Charlie Buck motor in his ’07 Dodge Stratus to take his first record of the year. Chris ran a blistering fast 230mph. At the third NMCA event of the year, the annual Super Bowl race that combines both the NMCA and NMRA, Chris would set the precedent for the rest of the year. Chris qualified #1 with a new NMCA record of 6.18@232mph. But that didn’t stop Chris from wanting more. Rini and his crew headed to Charlotte, an area where Chris has more track time than all the other competitors combined. With his fresh ATI SG4 and Outlaw converter it’s no surprise that Chris took his second win of the season. Going into a three week break, Rini and crew took his Pro Street ride back to the garage to freshen up the Buck motor. This would pay off for Chris in Milan, MI as he would set another new record for NMCA, 6.15-233mph and take the event win. This would mark back to back wins and almost secure his points race to the championship. Coming into St Louis, Rini would have to get past the first round to secure his championship. Chris, never being satisfied with the easy victory, would go on to set another NMCA record of 234mph and take the event win and his NMCA Championship.

With 4 wins and 5 record setting runs, no one deserves a championship more than Chris Rini. Congratulations, Chris, on such an exciting year of drag racing. We at ATI couldn’t be more proud of our association with such a great racer!
