This is our 3rd trip to Hannibal for the RROCK rock crawling series. Tom and Debbie continue not to disappoint the spectators or the competitors with course changes and the growing level of difficulty. With the rain on Friday night the courses were sure to be slick and challenging for Saturdays competition. As teams start ascending and descending into the courses it is easy to see that the rain and mud from the night before is going to reek havoc all day long. The inclines prove the hardest and on one course no one could make it to the finish gates due to the slickness and the ledge at the top. There are several broken axle shafts, transmissions, drivelines, and blown tires. The sportsmanship is proven several times during the day by announcements over the loudspeaker of parts needed and filled by fellow competitors. The competitors at this event may be competing against you but they also are your biggest fans it seems. They help out wherever needed and are a great asset to the rock crawling community.

Hannibal Rocks is a great place to come compete, watch, or play. With several of the world’s greatest teams competing in RROCK like Ken Blume, Derek West, Kyle Bruso, and others, if you get the chance to go I highly recommend attending an event put on by the Hannibal Rocks Crew you will not be disappointed.
