O’Reilly Auto Parts 4-Wheel Drive Nationals Jamboree

The 22nd Annual O’Reilly Spring 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals in Springfield, MO was a great success. This is our 3rd year attending this event and it just keeps getting bigger and better each year. It has everything the off-road junkie could want or need from rock crawling, mud bog, tuff truck, monster trucks and vendors galore.

Spectators numbering about 5,000 watched as 4 wheel trucks would drive, bounce, dig, jump and destroy their equipment in the stadium or cruise around the vendor area showing all their bling.

We came to compete in the rock crawl with our stock modified tj. The course is about 100 yards long with rock and dirt intermingled. It definitely took its toll on several of the rigs with 1 roll over, broken axles, shocks and lockers shattered as they made contact on the hard limestone rocks. The rock crawl has 4 classes from bone stock off the show room floor to the big boy unlimited class with 2 qualifiers on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.

If you get the chance to attend the Jamboree, you will not be disappointed. Family events and the Ozark Mountain 4×4 club do an excellent job of bringing off-roading to the everyday Joe.
