Spectators were able to see rhino, sand rail, and trophy truck races on the 1.5-mile off-road course, which consisted of jumps, tight corners and the infamous whoop section. The whoops proved to be the toughest part of the course when two of the rhino drivers lost control and dove face-first into one of the whoops, sending the rhinos end-over-end across the track. We stopped at a balancing rock on the edge of a canyon for a break. I asked a couple of guys to go out by the edge of the canyon so I could take a photo of them. Next we started jumping from the top of a straight down dune that was probably 80 feet high. This one was a little un-nerving to me as you could not see where you were going until you dropped off the side of the dune, but I did it over and over until it was time for us to get back.
