Our plan was to stage right off I 17 on the Bloody Basin road. There are some Indian ruins and Pictographs that I was going to take the group to see. We unloaded at 8:00 AM and got ready to ride. Next up was 7 mile Rim. This is another very scenic trail with a few tough spots thrown in to keep your attention. The road now turns rough with rocks just like Roy likes and we turn down a very steep hill into the grasslands near Hells Gate. The forest and grass is so green it seems fake. There were several more steep hills up and down that were a blast until we ended up at a sigh signifying we were at the wilderness and no motorized vehicles ... Full story

We took a couple of side trails and ended up on a trail that kept crossing the creek. It got very rough W/ boulders and didn't look like it continued much further so we turned around and were heading back to the trucks the back way from Cleator. I tore about a 3 inch hole in my rear inside sidewall. It took about 10 plugs ... Full story
