Since were wheelers we decide to hit some of the 22 miles that spread across the park before the night's festivities start. The trails range from nice leisurely trail ride through the woods to extreme offcamber rock hill climbs. The major arteries are easy trails that feed to the bottom or top of most difficult trails. Next we started jumping from the top of a straight down dune that was probably 80 feet high. This one was a little un-nerving to me as you could not see where you were going until you dropped off the side of the dune, but I did it over and over until it was time for us to get back. The road now turns rough with rocks just like Roy likes and we turn down a very steep hill into the grasslands near Hells Gate. The forest and grass is so green it seems fake.
