THE WIDOWMAKER
On Sunday, July 12, the Cocaine Energy Drink NZ Drift Series in association with NAC Insurance will be rolling its way through the South Auckland circuit of Pukekohe Park Raceway for the second of five rounds for 2009. Round one saw the return of New Zealand’s best to Manfeild, with Gaz Whiter snaring round honours from Mad Mike Whiddett. And round two will be bringing with it even more as the best in the business do battle around the home of New Zealand drifting in front of what’s shaping up to be the biggest crowd New Zealand drifting has ever seen.
Gates will be unlatched at 10am, with entry costing $20. And, if you’ve got a street-going drift car of your own, make sure you bring it along to score yourself free parking. Joining the full-house day of drift action will be off-track entertainment in the form of a judges’ gymkhana battle (funnily enough held on the track), the GT Radials tyre throw competition, trade stands and the chance to get your favourite driver’s autograph, photo or a ride around the track. Make sure you head over to www.nzdrift.co.nz for full information and a whole host of new NZ Drift updates.
