Don’t let the name “truggy” fool you. Sounds kind of cute and cuddly, that is until you do the math! TRUCK+SAND BUGGY=”TRUGGY”. Truggys can handle any kind of terrain, but it’s home is in the desert. With 24″ of travel in the front and 34″ of travel in the rear this beast will fly over anything, sand, rocks, washes, you name it. One unique aspect of this build is that RPM incorporated center seat steering. Passengers aboard this ride become the padding for the driver as he tears through the dunes scaring the hell out of anyone with him. The powerhouse of this truggy was transplanted from a 2002 Chevy Silverado HD. A 6.0 Vortec motor accompanied by a Turn Key wiring harness and computer. All this bolts up to a turbo 400 trans with a manual valve body. The rear end of this monster has a spooled, semi floating, Ford 9″ with 35 spline axles. RPM is well known in the off-road community as a leader in custom fabrication, though they are not limited to just off-road. From flatbed trailers to rock crawlers, you name it they can build it. Ian and his crew from RPM live to push the limits of extreme motor sports. Based out of Tempe Arizona, they can be checked out on the web at www.RPMFAB.com or give them a call at 480-329-2992. Their knowledgeable staff is ready to answer any questions you have.
